Capabilities

The following capabilities enable Key Handling Systems to handle all phases of a project.  Since we act as a single source contractor, we take total responsibility and ultimate success of the entire material handling system.

System Analysis
We analyze our client’s existing operations and provide feasibility studies for future requirements.  Drawing on our vast experience to generate realistic conceptual solutions and reliable information, we also furnish our clients with detailed information for budgetary purposes.

System Design
Our intelligent and practical system designs reflect the individual needs of our diverse client base.  This includes development of material handling solutions for new facilities and/or modified facilities.

Engineering
Our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Groups provide detail layouts of the entire system and its components.

Controls & Software
Our software engineers provide the most advanced control and software solutions in the material handling industry.  All components can be controlled and items tracked throughout the system to provide an extremely high degree of sorting accuracy.  We utilize standard proven software modules, but also provide new or customized software when necessary.

Purchasing
Purchasing is a direct product of the system design.  Every item that is called out must meet precise specifications in order to be properly integrated.  Value engineering takes price and delivery into the equation in order to ensure that effective implementation is achieved within the manufacturing and installation processes.  Expediting becomes the main support element of purchasing in the Key Handling process.

Fabrication & Assembly
We have an in-house machine shop with fabrication and assembly capabilities for our conveyor products.  Whenever possible, complete assemblies are shipped to the field in order to facilitate installation.

Equipment Design & Prototyping
We have the ability to design and prototype specialized unique material handling components when required for a clients' specific need.

Installation
Our well trained installation team includes experienced Field Superintendents who coordinate and supervise all aspects of the installation.

Project Management
Key Handling Systems assigns full-time Project Managers and Project Engineers who ensure that the client’s needs are constantly met from initial system design through proper field coordination and on-time completion of all installation phases.

Commissioning
Experienced mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers, in conjunction with our Field Installation Group, provide on-site training and start-up service for all projects.  Functional tests are conducted to verify that the systems operation as designed prior to final acceptance.

Simulation
When required, outside computer simulation sources are accessed to use these techniques to model and analyze all or part of a conceptual design.  Specific information about system operational throughput, as well as other volumes and rates can be analyzed and viewed in real time in order to verify the ultimate success of any design before the system is physically installed.  Statistical and/or graphical simulation is available.
