Accumulation
Accumulation conveyor has long been the standard for maximum space utilization of your conveying surface, which reduces the need to statically store/stage product. The traditional accumulation conveyor utilizes air actuated zones providing zero pressure accumulation by zone, preventing product from crashing into each.
Air actuated zero pressure, zone accumulating, live roller conveyor accumulates product in functional zones. A flat belt drives the carrying rollers. Pressure rollers are used to engage the belt with the carrying rollers to transport products. Accumulation is achieved by lowering the pressure rollers, disengaging the drive belt from the carrying rollers, using air pods. Each zone is equipped with sensor roller(s) or photoeyes to sense product presence, air valves and air pods to regulate when the carrier rollers are driven. Sensor rollers or photo-eyes activate air valves to pneumatically raise and lower the pressure rollers to engage or disengage the carrier rollers to transport or accumulate product.
Multiple release modes are available to accommodate a wide range of production rates and applications. Our engineers with work with you to choose the best application and settings for your facility.
